Adding a new Webpage to the CMS

The following steps take you through the process of adding a Website Page into the CMS and opening up this page in the Page Editor.

1. Adding a new Webpage to the CMS Firstly access the CMS and enter the Site system folder. Double click into the Website Pages folder, and then select the Page and Folder icon. This will open the New Page Name pop-up, and you can enter the name of your new Webpage here. Ensure to give your webpage an appropriate name as this creates the path of the page URL. Leave the Include checkbox unticked whilst you create your page, so you don't have unfinished content on your live site. 2. Opening the Webpage from the CMS Once you've named your Webpage, it will appear in your list of Website Pages. Click on this new Webpage, highlighting the row and select Edit item from under the Options title on the left-hand side to open the page in the Page Editor. You are now ready to create your page.  3. Including the new Webpage on your site Once you've finished creating your page and you're happy for it to be visible on the live website, simply click the Include checkbox beside its name and hit the Update button. You can also include the page in the Sitemap by ticking the box beside the Include checkbox. Extra Tip The Display name of your Webpage will become the path of the new page, so make sure it is appropriate to the material of the page. Extra Tip 2 A Sitemap is a Webpage that lists the pages on a website, typically organised in hierarchical fashion, it is accessible by both crawlers and users.
