How to add a Button and a Pop-Up Block

From 'Buy Now' to 'Discover More', Buttons can link to any internal or external webpage.

1. How to add Buttons to the Page Editor From 'Buy Now' to 'Discover More', Buttons can link to any internal or external webpage. Styling options are available to change the call to action text, size, colour and shape of the buttons. 1a. Add from Blocks When you are in the Page Editor find the Button icon below the Bullet Block in the Blocks menu. Click the icon to add it to the page or drag and drop into place. 1b. Link the Button to an internal webpage To link your Button to an internal page on your website, right-click to open the Options pop-up. Next, simply copy the path of the page you wish the Button to link to and paste it into the Link field.  1c. Link the Button to an external page To link your Button to a page on another website, right-click to open the Options pop-up. Next, open the website page you wish the Button to link to in a new tab and copy the entire URL, pasting it into the Link field in the Options pop-up. You can also click on the plus symbol (+) next to the Link field to open the Hot Directory. From there you can open the Website Pages folder and select internal pages or open other folders to select pre-uploaded external links and document assets, such as a PDF document. When you're copying and pasting links into the Link field in the Options pop-up, grab the Expand triangle in the bottom right-hand corner to make the field larger. 1d. Examples of different Button styles You can also amend your button's style via the Options pop-up. From here you can amend the Call to Action and Mouseover text, choose the Target from the drop-down (where the link opens) and add System Classes to your Button.  2. How to add a Pop-Up block to the Page Editor The Pop-Up block appears as a button that, when clicked on the front-end page, opens additional content. This is a great way to share further information without users having to leave the page. 2a. Add from Blocks When you are in the Page Editor find the Pop-Up Block towards the bottom of the Blocks menu. Click the icon to add it to the page or drag and drop it onto the Page Editor. 2b. Adding content to your Pop-Up block Once the Pop-Up block has been added to the Page Editor, highlight the green Free Content bar inside the Popup Content frame and add your content. The Pop-Up block can display any page block, for example, a YouTube video, Contact Us form or Google Map. 2c. Adjust the Pop-Up block settings When you’ve added content to the block, highlight the Pop-Up frame and right-click to open the Options pop-up. From here you can make a number of amends including changing the name of the button that opens to the Pop-Up, editing the mouseover text and adding System Classes (to amend the text, styling etc.) to both the Button and the Pop-Up itself.
