How to add a Data Table to the Page Editor

A Data Table is an easy way to organise data and create visual information. Large amounts of content can be a time consuming read for your users, but the key points are much quicker to absorb when structured into scannable blocks.

1. Add from Blocks When you are in the Page Editor find the Data Table icon. Click the icon once for the Table From CSV pop-up where you can paste data from Excel.  2. Copy and paste data from Excel Highlight the data on your Excel spreadsheet, right-click and select copy. Go back to the Page Editor and paste your data into the Table from CSV box by right-clicking and selecting paste. After you've done that, click Next in the Table From CSV box. A second set of options will then appear, giving you the opportunity to choose between Left Aligned Last Column or Right Aligned Last Column and With Heading or No Heading. If you choose With Heading the table will paste into the Page Editor with Table sub-heading text displayed at the top of it. You can edit this heading by clicking on Table sub-heading text which will bring up the text cursor, allowing you to type your heading. Please note that you can not add text to the Data Table directly from inside the page editor. If you type into the data you already pasted from excel, it will break the Data Table. 3. Adjusting Data Table settings Once your Data Table has been added to the Page Editor you can format the content within it. Click into the table to find text formatting options at the top of the Page Editor in the toolbar. Alternatively, add System Classes to the block by right-clicking on the table's border and opening the Options pop-up. System Classes will allow you to format text and styling. Resize your page width or check the page on mobile to see the formatted effects you have added to the table.
