How to add a Spacer or Rule to the Page Editor

The Spacer block adds 20px of horizontal space (padding) between Page Editor items. You can also change this to a Rule or an Alternative Rule, two types of visual lines used to separate sections of your page. Spacers help structure content in a more aesthetically pleasing way.

1. Add from Blocks When you are in the Page Editor find the Spacer icon below the H6 icon in the Blocks menu. Simply click to add a Spacer to the page, or drag and drop the icon to your preferred position. 2. Moving your Spacer Once a Spacer has been added you can move it by dragging and dropping or by highlighting the Spacer block, right-clicking to open the Options pop-up, and select the Move Up or Move Down arrows. 3. Changing the Spacer height If the automatic 20px isn't enough (or is too much) then you can easily amend this by right-clicking the Spacer block to open the Options pop-up and editing the figure in the Height box. You can see it is on 20px, try changing this to 60px to see the difference in space this will give you. 3. Adding a Rule or an Alternative Rule To create a Rule (line) highlight the Spacer and right-click to open the Options pop-up. Under the title Rule Style select Rule from the drop-down and change the height to determine the thickness of the line. To create a line with a shadow, select Alternate Rule.
