How to add Google Maps to the Page Editor

Google Maps are a great way to display a location and give directions. You can also customise the map to your liking by choosing the location it pin points, the level of zoom and adding points of interest.

1. Add from Page Blocks When inside the Page Editor, select Add from under the Page Blocks header and choose Google Map from under the Visual Block tab. 2. Configuring the options for Google Map blocks To configure the options for your Google Map, simply highlight the block and right-click to open the Options pop-up. From here you can adjust the height and width of the block (in pixels), enter the longitude and latitude of the area, select the zoom level (from one to twenty-one) and choose whether to show POI’s (points of interest). It's important to set the width to 100% so the map responds correctly to smaller screen widths. Extra Tip In the Page Editor, the buttons on top right corner (map or satellite) allow you to choose how the map is automatically displayed on the front-end page. 3. Google Map functionality on the front-end page On the front-end the Google Map block has the same functionality as all Google maps, the user is able to move the map in different directions, drop into street view and zoom in and out. Extra Tip 2 Resize your page width or check this page on mobile to see the effect.
